SOCAL Mentorship Scheme: Year Two Launch

The Society of Caribbean Lawyers Mentorship Scheme has officially entered its second year, continuing its mission to support aspiring Caribbean solicitors and barristers in the UK. With an impressive 66 mentees paired with 60 mentors, the scheme is dedicated to increasing Caribbean representation in the legal profession, supporting both British Caribbean individuals and those who have come from the Caribbean to study in the UK.

The launch event, held on October 10th and generously hosted by Devereux Chambers, brought together mentors and mentees for an evening of networking and connection. An attendee shared their positive experience with us:

I could not have felt more welcomed and accepted - more so than I have at any other legal event in London.”

We look forward to another successful year of fostering meaningful mentor-mentee relationships, resulting in improved outcomes for both the participants and the wider Caribbean community in the UK. Thank you to everyone involved for their continued support in making this initiative a success!
